The Furry Fandom Shop — NOW OPEN!!

Well, its taken a while – but we’ve finally got the shop open!! We have a couple of things in there at the moment – Mainly artwork printing services – We will print your furry artwork – get it all shipped out for you – on canvas, including UK shipping – A2 sized professionally printed canvas artwork pictures for £27 and A1 sized professionally printed canvas artwork from £32 :3
There’s also a really nifty android tablet we’re selling which will also work as a phone .. I’m a raccoon.. and Ginge my shop co-owner is also a raccoon.. so go figure we go dig up shinies to sell!
We’re planning on putting Furry pride stuff up as soon as we can get them organised as well, so remember to keep checking the shop – and keep your eyes locked on this space for all the updates!!!

Help Wanted!

So, like i mentioned before – i want to get the site up and running again, and it’s going to take help to do this. SOOO what am i looking for? 
To be honest – technical side of things is fine, im happy integrating things into our site obviously – shown in the furry fighters game – but what we really REALLY need – are people to be active in the forums.. members joining up, people offering advice – some admin staff to look after forums.. So pleanty of things.
One of the biggest things i need – right now – is someone who would love to draw some things for the site :3 – We need pictures for the tops of pages – such as the “feeling down?” page — i want to code up a nice anonymous system where people can ask questions – and get advice from their fellow furrys.. and of coarse we need images and piccies of enemies and other piccies for the furry fighters game — which i didnt want to carry on developing until we had a good STORY – and pictures to back it up..
So – what about ideas? Well – have a look round the site, check out all the headings and subheadings on the menu and have a think about what you think could be included – any nifty tools – - i know Rolf has suggested some fursuiting ideas – which i’d definately like to add in – and shop ideas – we’ve been getting in too!
So i’m looking for:
Artists
Website staff (Website Admins, Forum Moderators, Agony ‘Aunts’)
Writers (of stories or rp)
People with ideas!!!

If you dont think you could help, but know anyone who could, please let them know .. and of coarse – sites like this only exist because of their members – so if you could get your friends to join up and be active – contribute ideas – we could get the site moving quickly!!!

Okay.. some particularly rediculously heavy stuff has happened to me in the last year — busy due to work, busy due to life – and tragedy in the latter part of last year. It’s the tragedy which has actually encouraged me to once more come out – and venture back into IRC channels, who knows maybe even head back to meets more regularly too! .. Then early this year – along with trying to come to terms with the event that happened late last year, me and Rabid had to move house.. so i appologise for the silence – and sorry to all those who left messages for me – but with my realisation of how much all my friends truely mean to me – and the community i’m a part of – i’m back and i’m looking to really get this site on its feet again!
I will expand on the event, and the person who once again changed my life at some time in the near future – for now i’m just looking to see how much support i have with this site – so if you could take a little time to leave a comment – it’d mean the world to me

The Furry Fandom’s Shop

This has been an idea of mine for a while now, and i need you guys to tell me whatcha think would be good. Basically we’re a fandom of mostly very proud individuals – proud to be furry right? And even those of us who don’t wish to shout it from the roof tops are always looking for a bit of a way to express themselves in their daily lives without drawing attention to themselves
So, why don’t we actually have a centralised shop for all of this stuff? This would be a shop where not only can we link to our own store, i’d be very happy to link out to other shops that already exist! … what would people think to me setting up a cafépress type store, I’ll talk to some artists and designers and see if we can get some unique designs which we can put on stationary.. tshirts or anything really.
I think there would probably be 2 categories of designs. One – the “I AM FURRY AND PROUD OF IT!” type stuff, and two, the “I’m furry, and you don’t know it! tee hee” stuff – which would be maybe a subtle logo or design/s
as always, we’re a site very much in development, being built for the fandom, so I’d love to know what you guys think of it, and more importantly whether you’d be interested in maybe getting a few cheap bits and bobs!
I’d love, at some point in future to open up a real furry online store, one i can code from scratch, have all the popular magazines, artists, writers (yes – micropublished books for the fandom), furry accessories and even suits (links to makers) – all in one place — and of coarse I’d link out to other shops which have awsome stuff – i want this place to SUPPORT the fandom, and not harm it or anyone in it

Babelgum: Vice Versus – Furries

Oh noes! the evil media strike again! .. well .. not entirely! Claire on the last post, commented with a link which sent me to the following little video which basically features a number of furrys in the London Fur Meet.
Now many of us will always see any portrayal of us to be skewed or biased or attempting to ridicule, but putting that aside, have a look at this.. It is majoritively made of commentary – by furs, and unlike a number of other media in the past, it hasn’t edited the comments to somehow skew the points.. So, here it is – I’d love to see what you all think about it in the comments, I’m expecting mixed thoughts to be honest as can only be expected of us! Us furs love a bit of debate hehe 
The Forum + Update!

Well, this week I’ve been talking with twinkieottah to work out some new things that we can include into the site! — one of the ideas has been more development on the “feeling down?” page, which will be our furry ‘agony aunt’ page – We’re going to hopefully have a character there called Anon Emous Wolf who will be the stereotypical furry who’s parents aren’t too pleased with him being furry etc.. so any questions or requests for advice will technically be coming from Anon – rather than the user, to keep it all anonymous!
Also – go take part in getting our Forum more lively! Ive removed the comments since people were getting confused as to where to post – so go have a look, choose a category and have a go at posting
AND the forum’s not just set – so if you’ve got an idea of a section that could do with being added? lemme know!! – Again we’ll be still working on everything this coming week, so keep your eyes on this space for an update when we have one
We’re still looking for Artists for the game characters, to draw Anon and also a site logo! So comment if you know anyone who wants to help !

Thanks to everyone who’s joined and helped me to test the game over the last couple of days! special thanks to Drake who’s managed to get me some really useful stats, and also Existo Lupus who was the first to get through the game’s test in full.
If you have got so far and got bored, i’d love to know what you’d think could be done to make it better – this is a game i’d love to add in your ideas, Drake and others have already given me ideas i’ll be looking to encorporate into the game, so please let me know what yours are! – Like wise if you spotted any odd bugs lemme know as well
I’ll leave everything open as is at the moment, if anyone wants their game profile resetting so they can play through again with different items let me know – and if anyone wants to play about with random items ask me!
Finally, i’d love to include all of you who have helped test the game – in my site credit page, so have a look at the page and let me know if you want including – letting me know which country you’re from — also if you could upload an av if you havent got one in your profile page – it’ll look better on the page
Testing is still open but ive got lots to go over now and will be starting to make modifications over the next week or so, and once again if anyone knows any artists who may want to help contribute some artwork to the game or the site in general i’d love to hear from them — similarly if you have any ideas for the other content of the site, not just the game that’d be great to hear too!!!

CALLING ALL TESTERS!!

| Important update:bugs spotted so far, courtesy of Drake have been sometimes when you’re randomly fighting, you’re thrown back to the furryfighters home page, and if you then use the heal button it wont count in the fight. Let me know if you see these bugs too – Both Drake and i have seen them so would be good to know if you have too! |
RIGHT! I’m officially announcing testing season on FurryFighters as open! most of the main core bits of the system are now finished. So i’ve put up 9 levels worth of game play – items, enemies, story, bosses. Your furry fighter profiles have been reset again, so you can all play from the beginning so you can see how the game progresses, and make sure you go through each bit so we know how you find each bit
What i need you all to do – is play through the game right through until you have beaten the necromancer boss. I’ve just done it and its taken me an hour, but with a bit of luck you could do it in less – It took me just over 300 turns too, so i’ve set it so that when you start playing furry fighters you’ll all get given 500 turns to play the game with. When you’ve got through the game (killed the necromancer) pleaaaaase let me know what you thaught to it. This is the first release obviously, so i need to know if you think the enemies are too hard or too easy on specific levels, if you think it goes on for too long or too short between levels, if you think it gives too few or too many credits – if you think the bosses are too difficult (though remember, a lot on the bosses is based on luck!), how many turns you have left and how you think the game plays in general!
IMPORTANT NOTICE: artwork currently used as enemies is not my own and is used purely as an example image for the enemies represented. WE ARE LOOKING FOR ARTISTS WHO WILL DRAW THESE so let us know if you have a friend who is willing to help out draw them!!

The Work Continues!

Well after a couple of hours discussion me and Michan have been working out various new bits and peices - mainly to make the game better! we’re going to be putting in weapons and other bits and pieces and we’ve also been thinking of ways to get through and finish the game. We’re now also looking for ARTISTS so if you want to help us put up some art for the game and around the site let us know!
Remember, if you’re playing the game, stats will be wiped now and then as until i put them in (later this week) we only have level 1 enemies currrently – so keep your eyes open for changes there!
Finally – calling all testers and helpers – let me know on the forum in general discussion what you think will help the site be better, any ideas or things which could be put in? nothing too silly! sometimes good ideas come out of bad ones
If you’re new here thats good too! As we’ve only been up for a week so far, things are obviously not finished 
Keeping a full time job and doing this means i cant spend all day and night on it even if i want to! So, please hang in there with us, join up and i’ll keep you updated!
